If you have a website or blog you may spend a lot of time wondering how to move up the search engine results. Ideally you want to be in first position on page 1 as that is where the traffic and the money is, but without decent SEO and plenty of quality backlinks it is impossible to get there.
Many people end up spending too much money buying links or paying for link building services or they spend loads of time searching for the best types of links like valuable .edu and .gov links.
There are many different kinds of backlinks you can build to help you move up the SERPS, but ideally you want the links to be dofollow, so that page rank from the page that links to you is passed onto your site. Nofollow links are still valuable, as when sites link to you using your keyword it will help the search engines know what your site is about and hopefully rank you higher. It is also advisable to have a mixture of dofollow and nofollow links so that your linking looks natural to the search engines.
If you search for dofollow links you can find search engines dedicated to dofollow blogs. That way you can search for your keyword and find blog posts you can comment on, which will link back to your site. By placing your keyword as your name you will end up with ideal anchortext.
Auto-approve links are found on some blogs. The blog comments are approved instantly and allow your URL and keyword to be entered. You may assume these would all be trash, but in fact there are some quality .edu and .gov, dofollow and high pr sites to be found. These links are fantastic if you want to see quick results.
It can take some time to build up your own autoapprove list. Basically it involves keeping a note of which comments are approved as you create your links and using it for future sites or you may choose to buy a list of autoapproved blogs.
My favorite option is to use a site like Twirlie.com which sends out free autoapprove links to their subscribers on a regular basis. All you do is subscribe for free at the site by entering your name and email address and after confirming you will instantly receive a link to their current autoapprove or dofollow links. You can then download their list and either comment manually or load the list into your comment poster.
The best thing is they do not leave the list up for too long, so it shouldn't get too saturated. They also send out all their new lists to their current subscribers, as well as other SEO freebies that help my sites in the SERPS, so it is worth keeping an eye on your email.
